Book One- Bloodhunter
If you like paranormal romance/urban fantasy reads then I am sure you have heard of Laken Cane. Her Rune Alexander series is one of the best I have read. So when I heard that she was coming out with a RH series, I jumped on it. And I was not disappointed. Bloodhunter is going to turn out being one of my favorite Reverse Harem series, it's that good.
I don't want to give anything away, but I can give you a cast of characters and a general idea. Our main character is Trinity Sinclair. She survived a vicious vampire attack that killed her family. But she was changed in ways that she doesn't understand. It also gave her a link to her attacker, a master vampire named Amias. He has developed a fascination and is obsessed with Trinity. One thing the attack had given Trinity was her hatred for vampires, and she is out to kill them all. So many years after the attack she has found friends, non human ones. They have become like a family to her. Angus, Rhys, Clayton, Miriam, and Shane. Together they will work on finding who is killing human women in their city, is it a vampire or something else. Armed with a special sword, Trinity sets out to kick some vampire ass, and take some names. Or maybe just kick some vampire ass.
Again I found Bloodhunter a thrill ride full of a snarky kick ass heroine, who went through something horrific. She is a survivor and looks after those she loves. The action is non stop, your attention is pretty much caught in the beginning and doesn't let go until the end, leaving you wanting more. The possible men in her life, she has such chemistry with each of them. At this stage if I had to pick a favorite, what am I saying, each one is sexy hot in their own right. There are a few sex scenes, which were sexy and well written. I do not know if in the future books Miriam will be part of the group, but she has let it known that she would like to be. I am kinda not a fan of hers, even though......which you will find out after you have read this addicting story.
So my honest opinion is that Bloodhunter is a fantastic read, and has promise to be one of my favorite series. I would definitely recommend this book in a heartbeat.
